Source Composite places telemetry templates over the source video and exports a finished MP4 that you can save directly to your computer. All source composite exports include the source audio from the original video. GoPro 360 videos (file extension .360) cannot be used or previewed with Source Composite Mode.
Configure the overlays and source video
- Load the original source video in Studio.
- Switch from "Template Editor" to "Source Composite" by clicking the "COMPOSITE MODE" button, or pressing "M"
- Choose a preset output size or enter custom dimensions.
- Position the source video with X, Y, Scale, rotation, fit, and alignment controls.
- Add one or more template overlays.
- Position, scale, align, lock, duplicate, edit, or remove each overlay as needed.
- Set the in and out points of the video if you only want to export a segment of the video.
- When exporting a portion of the video, you can select the "Rebuild data graphics from range" option to discard telemetry data used in overlays before the in point and after the out point.
Choose export settings and render
- Choose a codec, either H.264 or HEVC/H.265.
- Set "Target Mbps" or leave its automatic option enabled.
- Choose rate control, encoding priority, hardware preference, keyframe interval, and resize sampling.
- Turn on "Preserve source timecode" if required.
- Start the export and keep the tab open and visible in your browser window until export completes.
